| Warm water | 600 grams | The water should be about 110F/43C. It should feel like water for a nice warm bath. |
| Softened butter | 60 grams | Oil can be substituted if you don't have butter or don't like flavor. This can be omitted entirely, but it will affect the texture and longevity of the loaf |
| Sugar | 30 grams | This is optional if you want to avoid refined sugar. |
| Salt | 20 grams | |
| Instant yeast | 10 grams |
